Sideways Ribbed Coin Purse

Please note that this purse will come out rather thick.

Materials:
US size 10 needles
approx. 50 yards each  2 skeins
2 buttons
tapestry needle.

Purse is worked flat then seamed. No need to create button holes.

Gauge unimportant.

Using both strands held together as one, cast on 30 stitches.
Work k1/p1 ribbing until piece measures 4 inches from start.
Bind off.
Turn 90 degrees so it is lengthwise.
Fold one end about 3/5 of the way up, and sew into place.
Flip inside out.
Remaining piece is the flap.
Sew buttons onto the purse, NOT the flap.
Button them into place through the space between stitches.

The Ribbon On My Wrist Says 'Do Not Open Before Christmas'

Yes, the title IS a Fall Out Boy lyric, but it's what inspired me to make these, so merh.

Please note that the button is not functional, and is just there to make everything all pretty.

Also note that I made these for myself, and I have some pretty small hands and wrists. Larger size is in parenthesis. If that still doesn't fit you, just add to your cast on amount.

Materials:
U.S. Size 4 (3.5 mm) needles (or size to get gauge)
Worsted weight yarn, maybe 20yards per wristband
1 button per wristband
Tapestry needle

Gaugeis 5 stitches and 10 rows per inch

Cast on 30 (40, 50) stitches.
St st 10 rows
Bind off
Sew up seam
Find the place you want the button and sew it into place.

A tutorial for lining knitted fabric can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6c_icBFjgVQ

Fold piece in half width-ways, so that the knit stitches are outside.
Sew up the bottom and side seam.

A tutorial for seaming can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0Ae659qvxE

Pick up 20 stitches from the top of bag.
Knit 2 inches of pattern.
Bind off in CC.

Sew button 1/3 of the way down the body of the bag.

Crochet Chain or icord 2 inches and attatch to flap in a loop to secure button.
Make 2 Crochet Chain or icord 8 inches long and secure to sides of the bag as a handle.
