Hole-y Scarf

This is more of a recipe than a pattern. It's fairly simple to do, however. For your average width scarf, you will need:
Size 8 needles
At least 1 skein of Lion Brand Tweed Stripes (Color used was 'Caribbean') or other bulky weight yarn. 
To form scarf, simply cast on 31 stitches, and follow the chart. While it might look very confusing, it's simply a series of cast ons, bind offs, and knit stitches. Also, if you felt like putting in some more time and effort, then you could achieve a really striking result, especially if you blocked the finish product.It's really open up the pattern. Somewhat lacy looking, but works well with bulky yarns too...
